Construction works of art?
I make mixed media study cattle and horses in the field. My problem is, as a test piece, it is very boring and not originality or creativity. I need some inspiration? I am using paper mache to build a horse, I'm adding abstract in color in cows. There is a gate and hedges in the foreground, with two horses " heads come. I am conscious that one was built and other bedroom sets. Any ideas or links for me A piece art level, with that little "X" factor? Thanks!
Interesting concept BAS idea bordering on relief. Try to experiment with this technique in areas remaining flat. Color of certain areas textured with thick applications of light color crayons. Then brush on some from areas with watercolors. In the pastel will tend to oppose the color of water, while watercolors will tend to unite and soak in between the pastel paper. It may some practice to get the control you want on how it will react mixed media, but in practice it may be worth the effort.
