Guys ( and girls) am I weird or what?
I am a female who drives and maintains her own 4x4.I am aware that this is a bit rare, least round these parts! because I get the whoah! you want what? and nudge! nudge! when I go to the local motorfactors for parts etc.
For example yesterday I changed the fuel/air and oil filters(after dropping the old engine oil out) and got no end of rubberneckers whilst I was doing it.
If it such an unusual sight?
There must be more girls who are like me!?

I have a 4 x 4 also. It always needs something. I can do the regular maintenance and most everything else (alternator, water pump, brakes, fuel pump). I've managed to learn a lot and it comes in handy when I have to speak with people at a garage. Sometimes they treat you like your stupid because you're a woman....fooled them!! I always get laughed at when I say that I worked on my Jeep.....the quote is "You?! I can't imagine seeing you with grease under your finger nails!" What crap!!!!
