Who said that Puerto Vallarta is without passion? Well, I hope you were not one of them. Puerto Vallarta thrives in art, moves in passion and is perhaps one of the most beautiful places suffused with a culture so colorful and magnificent that it is actually awe inspiring. Mexico's history has been dictated by extensive and bright art works. The colorful decorative tiles have been one of the elements that have risen to quite a stature in Mexico.
Those in Puerto Vallarta who have had the privilege to witness the tiles created by Kevin Harney have been nothing but astounded. Kevin Harney is a Canadian artist who has been residing in Puerto Vallarta. Harney is an expert when it comes to the creation of tiles which he also calls "Connectiles." He creates these tiles with a skillful flair, and subsequently these tiles are a wonderful work in both abstract and Mandala digital prints. He excels in showing these fabulous prints on ceramic tiles. Haus der Kunst Proyectos is proudly hosting a solo art exhibition, which displays these abstract tiles of Kevin Harney.
The concept behind the "Connectiles," was an inspiration of Harney. It was almost a quest for him, to provide the people with a small dose of art and he did it so well. He continually collected contemporary art pieces which he later displayed in his work in a variety of different ways. He discovered that a great way to demonstrate this contemporary art was through printing these designs on tiles. He portrayed a deep framework of art, be it small patterns or large on to small tiles which could be displayed on a wall horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Kevin Harney's beautiful tile work art exhibition of Connectiles which is also recognized as "Todo esta Conectado" is open to all locals and tourists who love art. Hail to all the art lovers! This great exhibition is at the Haus der Kunst puente del arte contemporáneo Proyectos gallery. It is situated at Guerrero 339 towards the downtown in Puerto Vallarta. This contemporary yet ravishing exhibition will begin on the 26th of June on Friday. It will start at 9.00 p.m. which is a great opportunity for all those who want to visit this exhibition with their family. All of you can grab a bite to eat at the many diverse and tasteful restaurants in Banderas Bay and then join in on the fun, with tasteful people who all enjoy the finer things in life.
This can turn into a night to remember because great art stimulates and also generates great conversation. This unique art show will definitely inspire you, so do not miss it folks. There are also going to be other art displays which include a big contemporary edition of an "Ojo de Dios." This would be printed on to stainless steel. If you begin to feel a little hungry after the exhibition small appetizers and nibbles along with delicious wine will be presented courtesy of the Candela restaurant. The Candela restaurant is also famous for its pizza which is stone oven baked and has a crispy thin crust. So are you going to miss this fantabulous event? I hope not!
