What is the main symbolism in a hindu wedding?

I have to do an assesment. I no that the bride wears red and they wear flowers round there neck and the brides hands are painted with henna but why do they do this?? Thank you x x

Its actually our (hindus) customs to do these things.
actually wearing of red clothes in the weading is our traditional activity practiced from the ancient period.
Mainly red colour in a married girl reflects a long life of their husband.
And wearing garland of flowers in the neck or exchanging garland from each other makes their relationship strong and unbreakable.
and to put on henna "mehandi" in hand is our traditional activity.
and its just to decorate your hand.
