Impressionism Oil Painting

Impressionist artist "P" ? Mancini?
I have been given a piece of art that the former owner insists is very expensive and rare. On the back of the oil on canvas is a short Bio that says,“Mancini Born in the province of Calalbria, Italy, he came to Paris with his parents’ still as a child. Having inherited his talent for painting from his grandfather who was a well known artist, he attended the Ecole des Beau Arts in Paris. After some vascillating he decided for a sort of “amiable” impressionism which almost
immediately found an enthusiastic response by critic, art circles, and the public. His work is much in demand and sold by galeries all over the western world.”
I have googled and searched everything. I have even been in contact with teh school in Paris. Could the "P" as his first initial be another name such as middle initial.
Anyone know who this is or how to find out?
At allposters.com (not exactly an orthodox place to look for art, I admit - lol) there are four Mancinis: Alejandro, Antonio, Gianni and John. Alejandro is a Spanish name. John is pretty anglified. I've also heard of an Andrea Mancini. BTW, I went to allposters.com to look for some impressionism.
Antonio and Alejandro are both pretty classical in their styles. Gianni has some works that *might* be considered impressionistic, but almost all his paintings were of Italian scenes. John is American (I came across a site that had a showing at some local gallery) and paints in a modern style.
I also came across the name Francesco Paolo Mancini, born 1900. I could find no information on him other than two oil paintings were sold at auctions in the 1990s. The one picture of his work does remind me of the impressionists. One auction list site also listed several artists with the surname Mancini. Francesco Paolo is the only one with a "P" in his name.
Hope this helps some. But of course, as was said above - it could all be hooey.
(Having said all that, is "Beau Arts" your typo or theirs? I would be suspicious of a provenance that didn't get Ecole des Beaux Arts correct!)
