Can you help me remember the symbolism in my Indian miniature painting from Rajasthan?
I spent the summer in the state of Rajasthan, India. When I was in Udaipur, I bought a miniature painting that has a series of animals on it: A horse / stallion An elephant A camel a peacock A tiger A cow When I bought it, the artist told me that any animal symbolizes something in particular. I wrote it, but have lost my notebook from my trip. What I remember is the following - can anyone confirm and help me fill in the blanks lost? Horse =? elephant =? Camel =? Peacock = Education, or beauty Cow Tiger = courage = spiritual / religion I am giving this as a gift for someone, and would like to remember that all items are so I can write it on the card! Thanks.
see http://www.hinduwebsite.com/hinduism/essays/animals.aspthis I'm sure that will help

Hi. The ones I know are;
Horse = power
Elephant = Good luck
Camel = love
Peacock = Happiness
I think Tiger = courage
And I know cows are holy so I’m guessing Cow = spirituality
Hope this helps
