What is the proper name for a food dish that is Asian inspired?
Would it be more appropriate to call a salad for example, an "Oriental Chicken Salad," "Asian Chicken Salad," or "Asian Style Chicken Salad?"
I don't necessarily want to call it Chinese Chicken Salad...
I'm thinking that since Asia is a continent, "Asian Chicken Salad" implies that the chicken is from Asia.
I don't want to offend any Asian people by using the wrong vernacular.
The dish is chicken marinated in soy sauce, sesame, ginger and garlic sauteed and served cold over baby spinach leaves or napa cabbage, with assorted vegetables and topped with crispy rice noodles.
